Jackie Chiu is a versatile painter. Although her primary area of interest is people, she is equally at ease painting other genres.

       Before she discovered painting, Jackie was a medical technologist. In 1997, she began to study painting seriously. Within a few short years, she turned a serious hobby into a career. She has won several major competitions, including an award from the International Artist Magazine's "People" Competition; that painting of dancing figures now adorns the book cover on fifty figure artists.

       Human activities interest her the most, but her real subjects often are light and colors.
